Tichu — Privacy

Last updated: 3 October 2026.

Tichu is an offline scorekeeper. Player names, scores, game history and your language preference are stored on your device. The app has no account system, advertising, analytics or tracking. It does not send your game data to the developer or a server.

Backups and sharing

You may choose to export a JSON backup or share a CSV file. These files contain the names and scores you entered. You choose the destination through your device’s share dialog and control access to the exported files. Importing a backup reads the file you select and adds its games locally.

Device and system services

Your operating system may include the app’s local files in device backups according to your device settings. Opening the official rulebook sends you to the publisher’s website in your browser; that website’s privacy policy applies there.

Local storage protection

The app does not add its own encryption to local files or exports. Device storage protection depends on your operating system, device lock and backup settings. In the web version, data is stored in browser storage for this website.

Deletion

You can delete individual games from the active book in the app. Previous recovery backups and separately preserved unreadable files may still contain older game data. Deleting the app removes its local data according to your operating system’s behaviour. Copies you exported or saved in a device backup remain until you delete them separately.

Tichu — Datenschutz

Stand: 3. Oktober 2026.
